Grivance Redressal Authority
As per the directives of the Supreme Court,
all the State Governments i.e. Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra,
have constituted the Grievances Redressal Authorities (GRAs). In
Maharashtra, the GRA was constituted on 17.4.2000. Justice Shri
S.P. Kurdukar, who is a retired Supreme Court Judge, is serving
as the Chairman of the GRA. The GRA has a full fledged establishment
of 25 staff at Mumbai and Nandurbar for addressing all the grievances
of the PAFs.
The staff of the Grievances Redressal Authority, Mumbai and Nandurbar
is as below:

The GRA has been looking into all the
aspects of rehabilitation and its directives are binding upon the
Government. As per the GRA’s orders, 349 people have been
declared as project-affected families. At present, 4,377 cases regarding
the grievances of the PAFs are pending with the GRA. The Government
of Maharashtra is undertaking all the steps to rehabilitate the
PAFs declared by the GRA.
